Qurbani, (also known as Udhiya)
is a ritual sacrifice of an animal (sheep, goat, camel, or cow), to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) for Allah’s command. It demonstrates submission to Allah and is a form of worship and charity. A significant portion of the Qurbani meat is distributed to the poor and needy, fostering a spirit of generosity and social responsibility.
